NotionForms created a new input field for each of your Notion database properties (or column). To add more fields to your form, you need to add more columns to your Notion database. Do not forget to choose the right type for your new column.

How to add a star rating input?

By default for Notion column of type "Number" NotionForms display a simple text input. If needed, you can also use a star rating input for the columns of type Number. Here's how to proceed:

Open the form editor
Open the settings for the "Number" input you want to transform into a star rating
In the Number category, enable the "Rating" option. Optionally you can choose the number of stars. By default, it's 5.

That's all you can save your form and see your new input rating.

I cannot find my Notion database

Before you can use NotionForms with your Notion databases, you need to share your databases with our Notion integration. If you can't find your Notion database while creating a form, please try the following:

Refresh the page. Sometimes this is enough!
Go to your workspaces page in NotionForms: notionforms.io/settings/workspaces
Click "Connect a workspace", even if your workspace is already connected

Make sure to select the right workspace, and click "Select pages"

Search for your database in the search bar and make sure to select it. In this screenshot, we're sharing the database "Roadmap"

Click "Allow Access" and you're done. You should now be able to create a form for this database.

If you still can't find your table, please try the following:

Open your database in Notion
Click on the three little dots on the top right corner
Click on "+ Add connections"
Type "NotionForms"
Click on our integration, and on the Invite button

How to generate a unique ID for each new submission?

If you need a unique identifier for your form submissions, we can generate a unique ID for each submission. Having a unique ID can be useful if you're using the " Update on Form Submission " feature for instance. You have the choice between two different formats:

Auto-incremented number: the first submission will have the ID "1", the second will have the ID "2", and so on.
A unique random ID with the UUID format (with the following format: 820f1844-bd04-44a0-aa69-d7e8b77c22ce)

Here's how to use this feature:

Add a new text property in your Notion database
In NotionForms, open the settings for that new text column:
Scroll down to the Advanced Section of the window, and choose one between our two options (auto-incremented ID or randomly generated).
Save your form and you're done!

Note when setting up this option for a column, we will automatically hide the column in your form. In your list of fields you can see that the option is enabled for a field with the text "Auto ID" !

How to pre-fill a date field with today's date?

Here's how to pre-fill a date field with today's date:

Make sure you have a datetime column in your Notion Table
On the form creation/update page, in the fields list, click the blue cog of the "Date" type column

In the settings modal, check the "Date with time" option

Save your form. This field will automatically be pre-filled with today's date
